- Prior Art Searches: Prior-Art Search involves establishment of novelty by assessment of similar or identical documents existing prior to the disclosed invention in the public domain.
- Patentability Search: An investigation that helps to determine whether or not a patent can be obtained and if it makes sense to file a patent application.
